According to a latest edition of leading German Business magazine ‘Capital’, U.S. computer giant Apple and German car maker Volkswagen (VW) could not agree yet on the production of the highly anticipated iCar. VW CEO Martin Winterkorn and Apple CEO Steve Jobs met last September to discuss options for creating an iCar, a small car made by Volkswagen equipped with hightech gadgets from Apple targeted for younger audiences. Volkswagen confirmed the talks.

The world’s biggest maker of mobile handsets, Finnland-based Nokia, is set to go head-to-head with Apples’s iTunes online music service by offering free music downloads to buyers of new Nokia phones with integrated music players. Nokia just announced a deal with the Universal Music label to provide the label’s releases, and aims to ship more than 180 million music-enabled phones by next year. Currently top stars such as Akon, Al Jarreau or PJ Harvey are signed by Universal Music.

Some moneybags own the Audi and the iPhone, while others own either one. But then again, there is a third generation of fashionistas who will do it with a little more style. And it is for them indeed, that the Audi Phone (which you see up there) that the prototype is out. The handset is supposed to go with the concept car, acting as a combination key jumb, navigation unit, audio and video player, and interface for the car’s systems. Well Oakley definitely made blue-tooth-based shades lately. Well, that takes care of my voicemail, but what about my e-mail. That’s going to be taken care of too! What I’m talking about is the new Head Mounted Display i.e. a computer monitor embedded in your sunglasses from none other than Olympus. Just like your cool pair of shades. Just make sure to take them off before you get into a fight. You don’t want to loose something as useful as this. Well it has a display rich with 110,000 pixels in each lens, left and right. I wish it comes with a widescreen though… but what makes for a part cushion if it does not, is the internal battery that’s part of the package. Hope there’s no bulky earring kind off battery that I got to painfully hook up to my ears. Now that would spoil it, wouldn’t it? All the excitement apart, you got to wait till 2012 for this (more…)
Sure, the competition is getting trickier each day, what with mobile phone providers at their rival best in outdoing each other, especially with Apple’s iPhone having set the stage afire! But while iPhone is still basking in its initial weeks of success, LG might be the next in line to gather all the hype. It’s already tied up with the king of all search engines, Google, for its new LG ETA, and now is all set to conquer another favorite among internet junkies, YouTube (steadfast videos, quick upload and download boomerang).
