Less than a week after Apple offered outsiders a chance to make games and other business applications for the iPhone, the response has been remarkable: Over 100,000 software developers have downloaded an iPhone software kit Apple made publicly available to them on March 6, the Cupertino company announced today.

By adding game and business applications to its phone, the company hopes to broaden the device’s appeal and better compete with the Blackberry. AOL, Electronic Arts, Epocrates,salesforce.com and Sega already have used the kit to create iPhone applications.

Pod地图。苹果公司最近申请了一项专利，他们要用IPod来取代GPS。根据AppleInsider所说的，苹果公司的概念就是一个能够爆或4个核心单元的软件，它能够让使用者设定起点和终点。这个答案将被列入Pod的清单，会通过语音提示给出答案，另外还有视频的地图送出。

Pod地图，这个来自苹果公司的新概念将为我们提供提供如下服务：例如

1.    使用者在出发前通过登陆一个在线服务器得知需要去的地方。

2.    服务期创建一个视频或者音频的文件，同样还有地图截图，然后发送给使用者。

3.    使用者在离开家或者在车上将其上传至IPod。

这个可能是为什么苹果公司迟迟不推出GPS附件的一个理由。这看上去是个很好的概念，但是在这个Pod地图推出以前，还是在你手机上的GPS点点吧。
