Pixel art covers: Dress Up Your iPods with eBoy

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

My 3-yr old iPod Mini is screaming at me to at least buy it some come cover or case atleast. I have no plan or rather money yet to get an upgrade in the form of an iPod Classic but as early as now, I am thinking of how I’ll take care of that new Apple baby. I might get eBoy’s latest skins for (more…)

iPhone Princess Plus: World’s Most Expensive iPhone

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

iphone_diamonds_2-thumb-450x300Admit it. Just like me, you’re just waiting for a diamond-studded iPhone to be released. Since Apple products are becoming a favorite of jewelers and the rich, a blinged-out iPhone did not surprise much. But still, the wow-factor is there when you first hear the price: $176,400. It’s more than expensive than the Softbank’s Tiffany phone we featured awhile back. (more…)

Proporta’s Echo: Look your hottest best with your iPhone

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

resizeimageThose who own the iPhone are usually ones who beleive in looking good all the time. Well, that’s a pretty generalised assumption I guess, but I am sure those who love the phone so much, have a lot more reasons than it being feature-rich, to actually own one. So, in yet another attempt to accesorize the most popular phone, Proporta’s Echo might seem like just any other thing, except that this one would help you keep your makeup mirror at home, and still keep looking picture perfect. Coolest Mac Mod: The Mac Mini Pro

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

Mac-Pro-Mini-1
It’s a Mac Mini…. it’s a Mac Pro! No, it’s a Mac Mini Pro! Looks like Hideo Takano can’t get enough of Steve Job’s Apple. He modified the Mac Mini into a Mac Pro to come up with the Mac Mini Pro. Brilliant!

The Mac Mini Pro measures 7.8″ tall and 3.28″ wide by 6.5″. This Mac mod boasts of a single USB port plus a power button aside from the Mac Mini hardware. A sliding enclosure keeps the hard drive from being seen. And if coming up with this mod is not enough, dear Mr. Takano even wrote down a do-it-yourself guide. Thing is, the tutorial is in Japanese so good luck with having your own Mac Mini Pro.

iBlaze Backpack stops iPod crimes

Friday, March 14th, 2008

iblaze-ipod-control-notebook-laptop-bagWe’ve heard of iPod crimes before and like most crimes, they just won’t stop. But like other crimes, there are also ways to prevent them from happening. Like keeping your iPod or whatever gadget out of sight. You know, as they say, “out of sight, out of mind.” Heh.

Okay, I know it’s too corny but it’s the same for thieves and criminals in the world. So better hide your iPod inside an iBlaze–an iPod Control Laptop Bag with Integrated iPod Controls. (more…)

Richard Solo Smart Backup Battery for iPod Reviewed: Solidly built, fast-charging extra-batt won’t hurt

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

newProductPageImageRT300The Richard Solo is a rechargeable lithium ion battery that is perfect for your iPod. If you’re one of those who loves to use the iPod until the battery drains but are always out of the house, a spare battery will definitely be a good companion.

The Good:
Works well as an external backup battery. Solidly built. Comes with a retractable USB zip cord and a wall plug. Takes only an hour to charge.

The Bad: Adds bulk to any iPod.

The Bottomline: An extra iPod battery if you have an extra $50 to spare won’t hurt. Good old Apple products can make good use if a backup battery always.

Price: Starting at $50
