Uh oh, Macbook Air lacks user battery replacement.
There is for sure something unconventional about the Macbook Air, its thin design, it blows the minds but it also irritates… no optical drive, lacks in-built modem, Ethernet and in audio source…phew. Is it going to make it far?
The product wins a lot of hearts but has its compromises, just like the way you defy conventionality you defy the conventional comforts that come with it. The laptop limits the functionality as it can not be just the primary computer making it not that suitable for travelers unless they carry another computer. Ok even if you carry another apple notebook just in case, it is not easy to charge the laptop with the other charger as you would need to carry the special Air laptop charger. There is no firewire present for higher speed transfer and say no to DVDs for long flights. It does not end right there, the only thing you did not need to get serviced in a laptop was a battery replacement which was a easy task but not with the Macbook Air, it needs to be taken to a Mac Genius for that and also an additional cost of the service of $130. Yikes…
