Apple gambling: iCar not made by Volkswagen?
According to a latest edition of leading German Business magazine ‘Capital’, U.S. computer giant Apple and German car maker Volkswagen (VW) could not agree yet on the production of the highly anticipated iCar. VW CEO Martin Winterkorn and Apple CEO Steve Jobs met last September to discuss options for creating an iCar, a small car made by Volkswagen equipped with hightech gadgets from Apple targeted for younger audiences. Volkswagen confirmed the talks.
As ‘Capital’ now reports, Apple is also talking to other manufacturers regarding the development of the iCar. ‘The project stands on shaky ground”, quotes Capital sources at Volkswagen.
