Amazon’s Kindle: A revolution in archiving your favourite read-ups
Of all the technology that we keep hearing about these days, eBookreaders seem to be the things we hear most about. But no technology reaches its peak of recognition untill a major techno-giant launches one of its own right? Maybe that’s what Amazon’s new eBookReader would do to the market segment.
The Kindle, that it is officially known, was announced today. What does it have to offer? 30 hour battery life, direct download with Sprint ( no computer would be required) and weighs just 10.3 ounces. That apart you also get a private email address to which you can mail Word and PDF files. It also involves some unnecessary subscriptions to newspapers, journals and blogging sites. Yeah well they may be useful for some, but then again that also means you’re inviting quite some spam.
At a price of $400, you’re obviously not buying it unless you’re in real need of it. I personally would surely buy one coz I think it’s one cool gadget to carry around in an era where people are drowned under fat textbooks and laptops.
