Research: The internet to get choked by 2010?

If you thought that the internet, one of the so-called biggest boons of present times was only going to keep getting better in the long run, think again. As per a recent research by Nemertes Research Group, the internet tubes are likely to get clogged and overburdened by 2010. As per their study, $137 billion would need to be invested by then to meet the growing demand. So when they talk about reaching the internet to every nook and corner of the world, you know what’s coming apart from the “making the world a smaller place” phrase right? To exemplify some of the smaller problems that might arise due to this clogging activity, we would reportedly have to keep refreshing and re-entering data more than once to make sure the info gets transferred. Now that’s risky business if you’re using your credit card for the purchase, init? That apart, you’ll have a tough time uploading and downloading all those videos that you’re so addicted to these days. Hope the YouTube-ites are listening.
Well let’s hope the broadband bigwigs are listening and working towards this. I mean c’mon we don’t really want to see a lot of bad stuff happening here right?
