Kindle e-Book Reader: Move Over PDAs
Remember the Cybook I talked about before? I said I still wanted the book and paper reading comfort but Amazon’s Kindle e-Book Reader changes it all. This new e-book reader from one of the world’s largest shopping website is not exactly the first of its kind but can be considered as one of the best because of its many features. Its an e-Book,newspaper, and RSS reader rolled into one.
The Amazon Kindle for me is better than PDAs and my trusty old MacBook when it comes to reading the news and my favorite books. It’s just so portable perfect when you are always on the go but can’t do away with reading the newspaper and yes, even RSS feeds. This electronic reader wirelessly receives data using the same hi-speeed data network utilized in cellphones. It does not have wifi but users are given a special e-mail that can send and receive pictures and Word docs.
It can hold up to 200 book titles but you can choose from over 88,000 titles available. And what’s good about this electronic reader is that there is no monthly payment bill or plan. With its $399 price, you’d think it won’t sell, but hey, this product was sold out in less than 6 hours of release. Now that’s really impressive.
