Fujitsu Seimens: Going stylishly LCD can be green too
Okay so we all know that solar-run technology and robotics are what’s making news around the world, but little do we expect to see it from manufacturers who just haven’t been into making that kind of stuff before, init? Like for example, Fujitsu Seimens (whose product we are talking about now), hasn’t exactly been into the LCD monitors business, let alone blend that with greentech. So this one’s a first timer both ways. What Fujitsu Seimens is planning is to launch a 22-inch LCD monitor that incorporates solar panels working with a capacitor and special relay to cut power usage when on standby. Interesting to say the least, and who wouldn’t like it if it makes those electricity bills a little less pocket-ripping right?
It can apparently work on zero consumption mode for 5 days and uses up only 0.6 - 0.9 W of electricity when active, which technically should make it a surefire popular thing between people right? Well, let’s wait and see, coz we would love to see newer manufacturers venturing into the already explored areas too to offer something innovative right?
