An Audi Phone: Is Apple listening?

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

Some moneybags own the Audi and the iPhone, while others own either one. But then again, there is a third generation of fashionistas who will do it with a little more style. And it is for them indeed, that the Audi Phone (which you see up there) that the prototype is out. The handset is supposed to go with the concept car, acting as a combination key jumb, navigation unit, audio and video player, and interface for the car’s systems. It uses both wifi and UGMTS Communications to give you image capture via onboard digicams (more of a security feature) and also acts as a receiver for the car’s location-tracking device. (more…)

Der US-Computerkonzern Apple hat heute per Pressemitteilung bestätigt, dass das iPhone nun doch ab dem 29. November in Frankreich erhältlich sein wird. Polar RS800 Gets a Make Over

Friday, October 19th, 2007

With more than a year after its release, Polar’s PS800 gets an upgrade with the Polar RS800G3. Now, the G3 can mean “with GPS” because this new wristwatch model now comes with a GPS(Global Positioning System) , a technology that is fast becoming a necessity in this day and age.

This model is said to allow athletes to measure distance and speed for sports like kayaking, mountain biking, running, and cycling. Polar has not been too quick to respond to the needs of athletes who do multiple sports but I think this one could be heaven-sent with its heart rate transmitter and GPS features.

The Polar RSG00G3 is water-resistant so sports water enthusiasts can use this as a replacement to their old and trusty diver’s watch. Priced at $499.95, it can be worth it if you are more into features and not the form. Owners of the previous Polar model can buy the G3 GPS sensor for $139.95 separately.
