Haier’s pocketripping laptop: Closer to prestige than rationality!

Well, if you didn’t know Haier was a major brand in some parts of the world, I don’t blame you for it. Considering their very ‘limited’ marketing genius, it’s fine if you’ve missed it as a brand at all. Jokes apart, what you see up there is an offshoot of Haier’s Flybook line, and is just one of it’s many unaffordable creations, but then again, it comes packed with almost everything you could ask for.
Endowed with a Core Duo U2500 processor, 2GB RAM, an 80GB hard drive, 802.11a/b/g, an 8.6-inch widescreen tablet display, and a fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth, and the ability to go completely wireless, I think the deal is quite good. Moreover, it looks completely study and classy too.
What adds to the good news is that it folds into a tablet too, and comes packed with handwriting recognition software, and a price tag of $4,790 (ouch, now that hurt, didn’t it?
