Second gen iPhone in Sept: Rumormongers are having the best of iPhone fever

Of course, what you see up there is nothing but a ‘not-so-cheap’ imagination of what a mini iPhone might look like. Interesting, to say the least. Rumors about a mini version of the iPhone hitting the shelves by September are at their roaring best again. News is abuzz that Taiwan-based Wintek has received orders for making the touch screen panels of the next gen iPhone. Estimated to range between $ 249 - $ 299, this one’s expected (or rather imagined) to be a rather cute version of the original and is intended to come out at the same time as the touch screen version of the iPod, another Apple mega-seller. As per some techno-analysts, September is way too early. In my opinion, it sure is. How can you thrust the baby into the market while its mother is still a riot? If I’d be in it, I’d ask Apple to take a chill pill. Remember too many cooks spoil the broth. In the same way, too many versions of the iPhone are likely to kill its exclusivity and won’t keep its fan besotted for long. (NiRa)
