‘Plug in’-car: Ford and Edison promise electric car
If you thought electric cars were just a joke of the yesteryears, think again. It sure may not have been a very successful attempt but all good things (as they intend it to be) take time to make gain, what say? And the good news is that this time round it just may! With an automobile biggie like Ford all set to rake a partnership with Edison power to bring “plug-in” cars into the market, it might just mean that electric cars become the genX solution to going green. Now just how green they plan to make it, only time would tell. However, we might know some more details on this mega-match in the soon to be held press conference by Ford in California. What we do know as of now is that Ford doesn’t plan to completely chuck the combustion engine and has decided to go in for a hybrid. They are also focusing big time on the infrastructure, rather than just the look of the vehicle. That’s good news for the booming global clean planet, clean energy or green car movement, what say? So the old complain about Ford making high-maintenance cars might just become a saying of the past, well at least till you get your first electricity bill. (Nira)
